Marblehead, Swampscott Health Departments Offer Addiction Recovery Series

The free every-other-Thursday program runs June 4 to July 30 and covers addiction, recovery and support resources.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The Marblehead Police Department is sharing details about a second free virtual community education series on addiction and recovery being hosted by the public health departments of Marblehead and Swampscott.

The every-other-Thursday series will run from June 4 to July 30 and is open to community members.

The six-week course is designed to foster understanding, reduce stigma and strengthen community responses to substance use disorders.

Topics will include defining and entering substance abuse recovery, pathways to recovery, and available support and resources.

The sessions will be facilitated by Marblehead Police Department Co-Responder and Licensed Mental Health Clinician Gina Rabbitt and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor Michelle Simons.
