Marblehead, Swampscott To Hold Joint Hazardous Waste Pickup Day

The towns are combining to arrange for pickup of household items at residents' homes on June 15.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Residents of Marblehead and Swampscott will have their next opportunity to have household hazardous waste items picked up at their homes next week.

The towns are once again collaborating with ACV Enviro to offer hazardous waste pickup rather than a traditional drop-off site.

Residents can register to have items picked up between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Registration can be done here or by emailing mobilehhw@acvenviro.com.

Items that will be accepted include oil paint, paint thinner, lacquers, stains, latex paint, oil, gasoline, lighter fluid, kerosene, antifreeze, auto batteries, pool chemicals and cleaning products.

Items that are not accepted include lightbulbs, ammunition, explosives, road flares, insulation and syringes.
