Marblehead, Swampscott To Hold Next Joint Hazardous Waste Pickup Day

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The towns of Marblehead and Swampscott are once again joining forces to offer residents free, curbside pickup of household hazardous waste items.

The towns are collaborating with ACV Enviro to offer the pickup on Dec. 7 rather than residents needing to drop off the materials at a collection site.

Residents of both communities can go here to arrange to have items picked up between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 7.

Items accepted include oil paint, paint thinner, lacquer, wood stains, latex paint, gasoline, lighter fluid, antifreeze, kerosene, automotive batteries, pool chemicals and cleaning fluids.

Items not accepted include lightbulbs, ammunition, explosives, road flares, insulation and syringes.
