Marblehead Tomato Plant Root Of Problems: Police Log

Also: Bike-riding kids messing with people; Poorly placed lobster traps; More.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from this weekend's Marblehead Police log. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Saturday

9:11 a.m. - Someone said he believes gas was syphoned out of his vehicle over the weekend and the gasp cap is missing.

10:52. a.m. - Someone reports he saw someone else with garden shears and felt the person was going to cut a tomato plant, which hands 6 inches over onto property. The plant was not cut. An officer said the tomato plant seems to be the cause of many issues, and moving the pot it's in could solve a bunch.

6:10 p.m. - Three young men were dancing on the roof of the vacant estate building on Pleasant.

8:11 p.m. - Person says three kids on bikes are circling his car on Pleasant. Frightening his kids while he went in to get food and harassing motorists in the area.

Sunday

9:26 a.m. - Someone said he saw someone else store lobster traps on the pier all summer. He said he just saw a kid trip on the traps and would like it to be addressed. The accused is a repeat offender whom this has been discussed. HMST moved the traps and took photos.
