Marblehead Atlantic Avenue Tree-Planting Program Begins This Week
Portions of the Atlantic Avenue asphalt, curbs and sidewalks will be removed and reset for the three-week tree-planting project.
MARBLEHEAD, MA — Atlantic Avenue will see some disruption over the next three weeks as part of a tree-planting project approved at Marblehead town meeting.
Under Article 9, trees will be planted along the avenue from Nos. 21 to 59. The three-week project was expected to begin on Monday, weather permitting.
As part of the planting, some of the existing asphalt will be removed, curbing will be reset and new sidewalks and brick borders will be added once the trees are in place.
