Marblehead Veterans Middle School Ranked Among MA Top Middle Schools

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead's Veterans Middle School was ranked among the top middle schools in Massachusetts, according to a U.S. News & World Report rankings released on Tuesday.

The school was ranked No. 30 in the Commonwealth with a score of 94.09 out of 100.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, at Marblehead Veterans Middle School 63 percent of students scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 69 percent scored at or above
that level for reading.

The school's minority student enrollment is 16 percent. The student-teacher ratio is 9:1, which is better than that of the district. The student population is made up of 48 percent female students and 52 percent male students.

There are 42 equivalent full-time teachers and 2 full-time school counselors.

The news outlet based its 2024 Best Elementary and Middle School rankings on publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Education, focusing on student proficiency in core subject areas.

The U.S. News list includes data on more than 79,000 public elementary and middle schools nationwide.
