Marblehead's Anna Georges Wins $20,000 In Merry Mixers 50/50 Raffle
Merry Mixers presents the winning check to Georges. The annual 50/50 raffle raises funds for MassGeneral for Children at NSMC in Salem.

Merry Mixers, the non-profit organization supporting our North Shore children’s hospital for more than 65 years, recently presented a check for $20,000 to the winner of its annual 50/50 raffle, Marblehead’s Anna Georges.
Georges, who attended Marblehead High School and is currently working toward her master’s degree while also working at Maddies Sail Loft, thought the Merry Mixers raffle would be a nice way to support local families around the holidays.
“My cousin Garrett introduced me to Merry Mixers and told me about the raffle on my very last shift before vacation,” said Georges. “I didn’t expect to win, I was just feeling the holiday spirit and figured I would do some good by helping MassGeneral for Children. Now I’m able to start a CD account for my only nephew that will hopefully help with his college expenses and pay back a decent amount of my own student loans with the rest.”
