Marblehead's Carrie Kimball Named MA Inspector's Communication Chief

Kimball formerly serves as the chief communications officer for the Essex County District Attorney's Office.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead resident Carrie Kimball, who previously served as the chief communications officer for the Essex County District Attorney's Office, has been named the communications chief for the state Inspector General Jeffrey Shapiro's office.

Kimball will direct the office's internal and external communications.

"As Inspector General, I am seeking to proactively engage and inform the public and key stakeholders about our Office's mission and results," Shapiro said. "Carrie's depth of professional expertise, as well as her passion for good government, will be critical assets in meeting this objective.

Kimball has more than 30 years of experience in communications and state government and most recently worked in Jonathan Blodgett's Essex DA's Office.

Kimball is a 1996 graduate of Simmons College with degrees in communications and government.

She lives in Marblehead with her partner.
