Marblehead's Courtney Pingree Shreds Slopes At St. Joseph's Of Maine

The former Magician skiing star helped St. Joseph's qualify for the Division 3 USCSA Nationals at Mammoth Mountain in California.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead High alumna Courtney Pingree is on her way to the Division 3 United States Collegiate Ski Association Nationals in March after leading her St. Joseph's College (Maine) team to a sixth-place finish at this past weekend's Eastern Regionals at Sugarloaf Mountain.

Pingree, who graduated from MHS in 2020, was 16th overall out of 84 athletes who competed in the slalom and the giant slalom. She was St. Joseph's top finisher and 20th overall in the slalom and the team's second-highest finisher and 21st overall in the giant slalom.

The Monks will next travel to Mammoth Mountain, California for Nationals from March 6 through March 11.

Pingree is also excelling in the classroom as she earned a spot on the Dean's List during the fall semester.

She is a two-time member of the All-Reynolds Division First Team at St. Joseph's and was a USCSA Academic Second Team All-American in 2022.

Pingree was a four-time Boston Globe All-Scholastic while skiing for the Magicians, qualified for the Eastern High School Alpine Championships three times and was named team MVP.
