Marblehead's Me&Thee Music continues its 52nd season with singer-songwriter Jill Sobule on Friday, April 1st. Over three decades, she has presented concerts all over the country focusing on an array of social issues from the death penalty and anorexia nervosa to the French Resistance, adolescent malaise and LGBTQ issues laced with humor, intelligence and skillful light-handedness.

Sobule's recording career began in 1990 and included her satirical gem "Supermodel" from the movie "Clueless" and "I Kissed A Girl," which made the Billboard Top 20. Her most recent album, "Nostalgia Kills" turns her laser wit and graceful poet's eye to funny and sometimes heartbreaking explorations of awkward youth and grown-up regrets.

Sobule has performed with Neil Young, Billy Bragg, Steve Earle, Cyndi Lauper, and Warren Zevon among many others. She inducted Neil Diamond into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and even sang a song as herself on an episode of "The Simpsons."
