Memorial Day Parade Schedule

Today's Memorial Day parade steps off from the Old Town House at 9 a.m., marching first to Memorial Park and ending at Waterside Cemetery.

If you plan to be in the parade, muster begins at 8 a.m.

According to the town's Web site, this year's honorary grand marshal is John Ciccone, U.S. Navy, World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Scheduled speakers at Memorial Park include Rev. David Franks, U.S. Air Force Retired, Lutheran Church. At Waterside Cemetery the Rev. Dennis Calhoon of Old North Church is scheduled to speak.

If you are a veteran and need assistance to take part, trolley service will be available at the VFW at 7:30 a.m. The VFW will serve lunch after the ceremony, and the public is invited.
