MFHS Offers Possible Financial Assistance to Marblehead Residents

The Marblehead Female Humane Society has helped women and families since 1816.

For over 200 years, the Marblehead Female Humane Society (MFHS) has remained faithful to its original mission of quietly and respectfully helping Marblehead residents. MFHS may be able to provide assistance to individuals and families who have lived in Marblehead for at least two years and are facing financial challenges.

Individual applications for MFHS financial assistance must be reviewed by a third party. MFHS urges individuals to contact any of our partners: Marblehead Council on Aging, Marblehead Counseling Center, Marblehead Food Pantry, Marblehead Housing Authority, Catholic Charities of Salem, and Marblehead Houses of Worship. These organizations will then refer qualifying requests to MFHS for review and disposition. MFHS holds all requests and distributions in the strictest confidence.

For a full list of organizations that provide social services, visit Marblehead.org and click onto “Community Resources.”
