MHS Fall Sports Tryout Schedule
Many local athletes have been working all summer to prepare for the fall sports season. Here is Marblehead High School's fall sports tryout schedule.

The following information was provided by Marblehead High School Principal Ken Weinstein:
Local high school students may not want to hear it, but before they know it they will be back in the classroom. Many of them have spent the summer preparing for the fall sports season.

- Cheerleading: Monday, Aug. 15, 10 a.m., Field House.
- Football: Monday, Aug. 22, 12 p.m., Field House.
- Boys' and Girls' Cross-Country: Thursday, Aug. 25, 7:55 a.m., .
- Field Hockey: Thursday, Aug. 25, 9 a.m., .
- Golf: Thursday, Aug. 25, 10 a.m., Field House; 1 p.m., DiLisio Driving Range.
- Girls' Soccer: Friday, Aug. 26, 8 a.m., Hopkins Field, Village School.
- Boys' Soccer: Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m., Field House.
Athletes are required to complete the necessary paperwork by Aug. 15, prior to tryouts. Permission forms for all Marblehead High School athletes are available on-line at the school's website or in the Athletic Office.
Proof of a physical within last 13 months (on or after 7/22/10) must be presented. A user fee of $340 ($480/family maximum) must be paid. The fee entitles the student to participate in all school activities with a paid coach or paid advisor.

No students will be denied access into any program due to inability to pay the fee. The fees will be waived fully or partially for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch under federal guidelines.
A clearance form will be issued when all paperwork is complete. Students cannot tryout for a team without a clearance form issued by the Athletic Office.
Lastly, the fall parent-coach meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Marblehead High School Auditorium.
