ICYMI: MHS Football Begins Defense of NEC Title on Sept. 11

Coming off an 11-1 season, Marblehead football kicks off against Walpole.

The Marblehead Magicians football team is coming off an 11-1, Northeastern Conference champions season in 2014 and will be kicking off their season with a true heavyweight battle on Friday, Sept. 11.

Marblehead faces Walpole High School at Walpole on Sept. 11. Walpole is also coming off an 11-1 season and is ranked number 8 in the state in the preseason ESPN high school football poll.

The home opener for the Magicians is Friday, Sept. 18 at Piper Field when the team will face Cambridge Rindge and Latin.

Other big games on the schedule include a showdown at Peabody on October 2 and the Thanksgiving day game against Swampscott.
