MHS Senior Academic Awards and Scholarships

The 2011 graduating class of Marblehead High School has exhibited excellence in the areas of academics, athletics, arts and community service. With a host of students accepted to prestigious schools, along with multiple State Championship winning teams and nation wide recognition in the arts, the class of 2011 has truly put Marblehead High School on the map.

According to MHS, The National Merit Program participants had 10 seniors who were commended students as well as 6 semi-finalists, who all turned into finalists.

The two finalist winners were:

Sarah E. Smith was named the 2011 recipient of The Thomas J. Watson Scholarship.

Henry E. Pratt was named the 2011 recipient of the National Merit Bowdoin College Scholarship.

At the Senior Banquet, MHS Principal Ken Weintein recognized three scholarships that define special characteristics as well as outstanding achievements. They were:
