MLT’s Summer of Music Series to feature 60s Rock by The Mugfords
Saturday, August 24, at 8 p.m., the MLT Firehouse Theatre, will be rocking-and-rolling with the iconic music of the British Invasion era.

MLT’s Summer of Music Series continues on Saturday, August 24, at 8 p.m. with an evening of classic rock performed by “The Mugfords.”
The Marblehead-based 60s rock ’n roll cover band will perform music made famous and memorable by the Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds and other groups that figured prominently in the British Invasion era.
The group has played at the Hard Rock Cafe, Wick’s in Marblehead, the Marblehead Festival of the Arts, and other local venues over the past 20 years. Their sound features tight vocal harmonies with Debra Basile on bass, Steve Pierce on drums and percussion, Chad Rosen on guitar and keyboard, and Paul Todisco on lead guitar.

Tickets for the “The Mugfords” concert are $10 for students and $20 for adults and can be purchased online at mltlive.org or at the door subject to availability.
Future concerts are scheduled for Saturday evenings on August 31 and September 7. All concerts will begin at 8 p.m.

Future Open Mic Nights held on Thursdays are scheduled for August 15, August 29, September 7, and September 12. Admission is $5 at the door for audience members and performers. Sign-in for performers begins at 7 p.m. The music will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will run approximately two hours. Open mic nights are open to performers of all ages.
All Summer of Music events are hosted in MLT’s Firehouse Theatre at 12 School St. in Marblehead. The series is produced by Craig VanRemoortel.
Started in 1955, the award-winning Marblehead Little Theatre is one of the oldest community theatre groups in New England, having consistently presented live-theater productions and performances for over six decades.
