Marblehead’s Mugford Street Players will hold OPEN AUDITIONS for Paul Rudnick’s hit comedy I HATE HAMLET on Sunday, October 20, 2pm - 4:30pm and Monday, October 21, 6pm - 8:30pm at Abbot Public Library, 235 Pleasant Street in Marblehead. The show will perform January 10 - 26 at Marblehead Little Theatre.

Actors are asked to bring a headshot and resume and to prepare and present a 1-2 minute comic monologue. Actors will be seen in order of arrival at the auditions, as far as possible. John Fogle directs. Contact the director at stagefog@gmail.com with questions.
Roles available:
Andrew Rally (25-35) – an actor, handsome and charming with the polished ease of a TV star, which he is.
Felicia Dantine (40-60) – a flamboyant Manhattan real estate agent with a jubilant New York honk.
Dierdre McDavey (25-35) – the breathless soul of romantic enthusiasm, always on the verge of a swoon.
Lillian Troy (55-75) – a strikingly elegant theatrical agent of German descent with a non-nonsense manner.
Gary Peter Lefkowitz (40-60) – a high-powered LA agent, terminally enthusiastic about all things Hollywood.
John Barrymore – this role has already been cast.
ABOUT JOHN FOGLE
Marblehead resident John Fogle is an award-winning director, renowned across New England as a visionary stage director, actor and, theatre educator. During the course of a forty-five year career, he has directed or produced over 90 productions, garnering critical accolades and regional awards for theatre excellence.
ABOUT THE MUGFORD STREET PLAYERS (MSP)
The Mugford Street Players (www.mugfordstreet.com) was founded in 1975 at its original home, the Unitarian-Universalist Church on Mugford Street in Marblehead. Since then, MSP has presented more than 60 productions in a variety of North Shore venues.
