Music Plays On Despite Tractor-Trailer Crash At Marblehead Venue

Johnny Ray's Music Emporium owner says the damage was confinded to the facade and outside of the building.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The music played on at Johnny Ray's Music Emporium this weekend despite a tractor-trailer crash that ripped down part of the facade of the Marblehead venue.

Owner Johnny Ray said the trailer was too tight for the utility lines and that the top of the vehicle clipped the lines. It then dragged the cable, along with the facade it was attached to, off the side of the building on Atlantic Avenue.

Despite the crash, Ray said there was "not a scratch inside" and that the outdoor damage was not even as bad as it first may have seemed.
