North Shore Coastal Cleanup Campaign Set For Sept. 11

Sustainable Marblehead and SPUR are teaming up to clean up 33 beaches and green spaces in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Volunteers intend to honor International Coastal Clean-Up Day by picking up trash and debris at 33 area beaches and parks along the North Shore.

Sustainable Marblehead and the Marblehead-based SPUR will organize the clean-up efforts in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott on Sept. 11 from 9:30 tp 10:30 a.m.

The groups are looking for volunteers to help out on foot, kayak, paddleboard and boat.

Sustainable Marblehead is a community organization dedicated to connecting, supporting, and empowering residents, businesses and town officials to create a healthy, sustainable and resilient community.

SPUR is a Marblehead-based non-profit that connects individuals with ways to make an impact on their community through volunteer events in Lynn, Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott.
