Numbers Are In For Marblehead's Annual Town Election
Beyond ballot questions, votes were tight for the Board of Health and Municipal Light Commissioner.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — While much attention in Marblehead's annual town election was focused on two tax override questions that were not ultimately close in the final vote tally, there were some contested town posts that did remain in question as heavy turnout forced a late counting of the ballots.
Photocopied ballots had to be used when printed ballots ran short in the afternoon, then had to be hand-counted late into the night after the polls closed Tuesday night.
When the unofficial vote totals were tallied, all five Select Board members were re-elected, voters chose Alison Taylor to join incumbent Sarah Fox in heading to the School Committee, and there were tight races for Board of Health and Municipal Light Commissioner.
