OUI Charge for Marblehead Man in Ocean Avenue Crash

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from the Marblehead police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sun., March 20

• 1:47 p.m. Unattended death on Ocean Avenue.
• 2:46 p.m. Burglary on at Broughton Road residence.
• 4:27 p.m. A man teaching his daughter how to drive on West Shore Drive said she struck a headstone in a cemetery.
• 10:56 p.m. An MBTA bus was reportedly driving erratically on Ocean Avenue.

Mon., March 21

• 6:06 p.m. Joseph Green, 35, of Marblehead, was charged with OUI (drugs), negligent driving, and a lane violation after allegedly crashing his green Ford Explorer into a sign on Ocean Avenue. Police said he also had a warrant.

Tue., March 22

• 5:05 p.m. A man said he was the victim of a scam where a company offered him a check to review stores for cleanliness, but the company wanted him to send back money.

• 8:01 p.m. A woman on Barnard Hawkes Court said her fiancee's ex-girlfriend struck her in the head.
