'Paw Print' Ornaments To Benefit Marblehead Animal Shelter

Hestia Creations will make a $10 donation to the shelter with each customized pooch or kitty holiday decoration.

While you may not want your cat perched atop your Christmas tree, an ornament with your pet's paw print might be a nice addition to the yuletide celebration.

Those looking to commemorate their little fella in the spirit of the season can do so on Oct. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 13 Hawkes Street location.

Hestia will provide customers with a "paw print" kit that includes paint, a flat 4-inch disk and instructions. Those who purchase one can take it home or test it out in Hestia's parking lot, then return it to Hestia's for firing and completion.

Purchasers will be informed when the ornament is ready for pickup and the animal shelter will have some added resources to help take care of the lost and abandoned pets of Marblehead.
