PHOTOS: Headers Meet Dustin Pedroia

Hundreds of area residents flocked to the North Shore Mall Saturday to meet Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia at a promotion at SalemFive Bank.

Marblehead resident Gil Norcross, 9, was among the hundreds of fans eager to meet Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia at the North Shore Mall Saturday.

Dressed in his Red Sox shirt, hat and carrying his trusty glove, Gil was smiling ear-to-ear when he met Pedroia.

"That was awesome! I had so much fun", Norcross said.

Another pair of Headers were waiting patiently in line to have their picture taken with Pedroia.

Julia Wallen and Ilse Schaeffner, both 12, were excited and happy to meet Dustin, despite the heat.
