Police Confiscate Gun After Confrontation Over Barking Dog

Tuesday, April 28
At 8:04 a.m., a man came into the station to complain that his car door had been opened while the vehicle was towed or by the towing company at some point. Nothing was taken, but he was upset the door had been opened.
At 2:35 p.m., a person reported a telephone wire touching the sidewalk on Darling Street. Police contacted the municipal light department and were told that calls for that wire had been coming in since mid-winter.

At 2:44 p.m., a person reported possible marijuana activity in a parked vehicle. The caller also stated that money was possibly exchanged. Police looked for the involved vehicle but found nothing.
At 3:34 p.m., a caller reported he was threatened by a man whom he confronted about a barking dog. According to the log, the man went to confront the dog owner. Police spoke to the dog owner who said the nieghbor came over with his hand behind his back and told the dog owner, ”If I take one step closer, I’ll shoot you.” The dog owner said he couldn’t describe the gun and admitted the person had his hand behind his back. The log notes that Lt. Lunt did confiscate a gun, but no further details were shared.

At 8:03 p.m., a woman reported that a man she’d been seeing had stolen medication from her.
