Police Respond Twice for Partygoers 'Yelling Obscenities'

Sunday, May 24

At 10:13 a.m., a man came into the station upset that a sticker had been put on his car window alerting him that he had parked illegally while at a yoga class. He talked about suing the neighboring property for not clearly making which business’ patrons were permitted to park in the area.

At 10:21 a.m., a caller reported finding a black fannypack.

At 11:28 a.m., a woman called upset about people working in a nearby condemned home on a Sunday. She had concerns about asbestos being in that home, as well.

At 1:01 p.m., a woman reported that she had received a potential scam phone call from someone soliciting funds for fallen police officers.

At 4:46 p.m., a woman reported her fence had been damaged overnight.

At 6:45 p.m., fireworks were reported on Browns Island. The harbormaster located the involved parties and told them to cease.

At 8:59 p.m., a woman reported a loud party at a nearby house. She told police it wouldn’t normally be an issue, but that the partygoers were “yelling obscenities pretty loud.” Police spoke with the partygoers who agreed to keep it down.

Monday, May 25

At 12:03 a.m., the woman from the 8:59 p.m. call called back and said the party had become loud once again and had awoken her family. Police responded and the partygoers agreed to shut it down immediately.
