Possible Hazardous Debris Overflowing from Construction Dumpster

Wednesday, May 13
At 9:24 a.m., police made an arrest following a motor vehicle stop. Brandi Sara Johnson, 33, of Salem was arrested on a warrant as well as on charges of speeding and operating on a suspended license.
At 10:02 a.m., a neighbor on Briar Lane reported that the dumpster at a home under construction was over flowing and that debris was blowing around the area. The caller also reported that workers in hazmat suits had been at the construction site earlier in the week placing debris in the dumpster, and the caller was concerned that what was blowing out of the dumpster might be hazardous. The building department planned to send an inspector and one of the fire captains out to check the situation.

At 10:18 a.m., a person reported a laptop taken from his vehicle.
At 11:21 a.m., a woman reported that she was assaulted by another woman over a confrontation about barking dogs. According to the log, the caller said her dog was barking at the other woman walking two dogs of her own. The suspect grabbed the caller twice. Officers searched for and located the suspect to talk with her about the incident.

At 5:02 p.m., police placed a 60-year-old Marblehead man in protective custody after a witness reported he ”fell multiple times and is stumbling.” The man was released about five hours later.
At 5:35 p.m., a boat reportedly broke loose from the pier. The wood skiff was dragged onto the beach and secured.
At 5:49 p.m., a man reported a baseball had gone through the window of his home. He had already left a message with the athletic director’s assistant.
