Protective Custody for Drunk Cyclist Who Tumbled from Bike

Excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department log.

Thursday, May 21

At 8:24 a.m., a man reported that the rear license plate had been stolen from the vehicle his daughter drives. He said his daughter also heard laughing outside the house the night before.

At 10:55 a.m., a three-car motor vehicle injured one person and resulted in one person’s arrest. Travis Corea, 31, of Lynn was arrested for unlicensed operation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The crash occurred on Atlantic Avenue.

At 11:55 a.m., a caller reported finding an arrow in her yard and said another neighbor found one in their yard. Both neighbors said the believed they knew from where the arrows were coming. Police returned the arrows to the homeowner and that person agreed to talk with her kids about shooting those arrows.

At 2 p.m., two callers reported a possibly drunk bicyclist had fallen and possibly hit his head. The cyclist was transported to the police station where he blew a .276 on a portable breath test. The 45-year-old Marblehead man was put in protective custody for about seven hours.
