Hit The Links For A Good Cause In Marblehead

The Marblehead Community Golf Day benefitting the Marblehead Counseling Center is set for May 15 at Tedesco Country Club.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead Community Golf Day is returning on May 15 at Tedesco Country Club.

The annual golf tournament to benefit the Marblehead Counseling Center is still looking for golfers and sponsors for the May 15 event.

Tim Phillips, who is on the Counseling Center's Board of Directors, told Patch the funds raised at the tournament will go toward critical mental health and wellness services in Marblehead, Swampscott, Salem and across the North Shore.

"The demand for services and the associated wait list has more than doubled in recent years," Phillips said. "Most of this demand is from children locally."

The $175 player fee includes a round of golf with a cart, a boxed lunch, and a post-play celebration with hors d'oeuvres where beer and wine tickets will be available. Players can join as a foursome or individually.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with 10 a.m. registration and is rain or shine. The final registration deadline is May 12.
