Salem, Marblehead Residents Alerted To Firearm Training

Marblehead police will host firearm training that could be heard in the area of Robinson Road and Swampscott Road.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead and Salem residents near the town line were alerted that they may hear guns being fired from Marblehead police training exercises in the area early next week.

Marblehead police will host the training on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Live-fire training will be held at a sectioned-off area with safety measures in place in the vicinity of Robinson Road and Swampscott Road.

The area will be posted, and residents are advised that they may hear intermittent rifle and shotgun fire during these times.
