SCAM ALERT: Fake Collection Company Targeting Marblehead Residents

A scam company called Disconnection Collection has been targeting Marblehead residents lately.

The Marblehead Municipal Light Company posted on its page on Facebook that scammers threatening to disconnect power if a bill was not paid right then over the phone have been making the rounds in Marblehead.

“This is not Marblehead Municipal Light,” the post on the Facebook page reads.

The post goes on to advise residents to simply hang up the phone should they receive a call from Disconnection Collection.
