Seaglass is a nonprofit community of seniors helping seniors maintain independence and connection.
MARBLEHEAD, MA — The new North Shore Seaglass Village community servicing Marblehead, Nahant and Swampscott is now fully operational.
Seaglass Village is a nonprofit designed to help seniors maintain independence while aging in their own homes.
Seniors assist other seniors with transportation needs, help with technical questions as well as indoor and outdoor household chores.

Members and volunteers are also encouraged to join together for social events, outings and educational programs.

There are more than 350 similar villages across the country with Seaglass the first on the North Shore. Prospective members can become founding members if they join before Dec. 31.
