Marblehead, MA - It may be frigid out to us, but for one seal, it is a perfect day to catch some rays at the beach.

On Friday morning, Marblehead police received calls regarding a seal down at Fort Beach. The Animal Control Officer and another police officer have been down to check on the animal’s welfare and it was determined that it is a juvenile seal just sunning itself.

It is important to know that seals (especially juveniles) spend just as much time in the water as they do on land. Police officials requested that residents admire the seal from a distance and leave it alone.
