Season Wrap-Up: Sailing

Now that 2011 spring sports season has come to a close, Marblehead Patch will be offering recaps from each of the school's varsity sports teams over the next two weeks.

Today, Marblehead Patch offers a look at some of our coverage from the high school's state champion sailing team. After sailing to victory in Boston last month, the sailing team joined the school's skiing, swimming and hockey teams as this year's state champions

MHS Sailing Team Spring Highlights

 March 2011:

MHS Sailing Team Recipients of the Stephen B. Leslie Sportsmanship Award from the New England Schools Sailing Assoc.

This award is given out annually to the team that stands out and is most respected by its peers in NESSA.  The awarded team always uses good clean racing and skill, no matter if its win, lose or draw, and you’re left thinking those sailors are good people to sail against.
