UPDATED: 'Goonies' Screening on the Lawn at the YMCA Cancelled
A snapshot of things to know about Marblehead today, Aug. 9.
1. Movies on the Lawn:
On Friday, 8 p.m., Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA Field Free Family. Come with the whole family, bring your blankets and chairs and sit back and enjoy "The Goonies" projected onto a giant inflatable movie screen, along with some freshly popped popcorn!
2. Weather Watch:
Friday's forecast calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 7 am and 1 pm, then isolated thunderstorms after 1 pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain.

4. Festa Time:
In nearby Lynn, Holy Family Church, 26 Bessom St., is having its annual FESTA Italiana on August 8-10. The event promises to be lots of fun with a special "Kids Day" theme on Saturday from 12-4. Entertainment provided by "Sea Bees" of Swampscott on Thursday evening, a yet-to-be-announced act on Friday evening and dance presentations from "Donna's Dance" and a visit from "Elvis" on Saturday evening.
