Seven Teen Bands Rock the North Shore at NSTI’s Second Coffee House: Diverse Musical Teen Acts Perform for a Standing-Room Only Crowd at the JCCNS

(Marblehead, MA) North Shore Teen Initiative (NSTI) is pleased to announce that its Teen Band Coffee House on Saturday night, March 29th showcased 30 North Shore teens playing in seven diverse bands for a standing-room only crowd. More then 125 friends, family and music lovers attended the Coffee House overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Teen bands included: Sababa featuring Samuel Feinstein, Lauren Sliva, and Gabe Goldman (Peabody), and sisters Amy and Janna Sokolow (Lynnfield); The Sea Bees featuring Samuel Feinstein, Todd Sousa, Griffin Todd, Nick Geiger (Peabody), Chris James and brothers Alex Hamzeh and Sebastian “Bash” Hamzeh (Swampscott); Forty-9 Keys featuring Kyra Jones and Alec Glass (Marblehead); Josh Reposa (Georgetown); Psychotic City featuring Rhei Barrett, Lindy Miller, Nora Rosen and Ray Vegger (Marblehead) and a capella group Grizzly Freakin’ Man Singers featuring Michael Bolognese, Alex Bulls, Ronan Cunningham, Davis Franklin, Dan Gawrys, Stephen Girard, Alec Glass, Gwyn Higgins, Jack Krivir, LJ Littler, Ronnie Mackrosen, Declan McKinnon, Garret McKinnon, Henry Power, Fox Prouty, Geoff Rivera, Malachi Rosen, Jacob Sundlie, Craig VanRemoortel and Drew Welch (Marblehead).

The overflow audience dined on Mexican munchies by Marla’s J-Café while bands offered up a wide a range of original music and covers songs, from pop favorite Wonderwall to Falling Slowly from the movie and Broadway show Once to modern klezmer music to two versions of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. Spontaneous dance lines broke out when brass-centric ska band The Sea Bees performed two encore numbers to close the evening.
