At 7:29 a.m., a woman called and reported several dead turkeys in front of her home. She said they were in different areas, so it didn’t appear a car had hit them; instead, it looked as though, “they ripped each other apart.” Police confirmed a flock of turkeys in the area and notified the highway department about the dead birds.
