Shotgun Shell Found at School

Marblehead Police responded to the Marblehead Community Charter School on Monday morning after a student found a shotgun shell under a coat rack where students hang their jackets.

Marblehead Police quickly found there was no threat to the school.

Police Chief Robert Picariello said that police found that the shell had been given to a student, he put it in his backpack and it fell out by the coat rack.

Picariello said police took “reasonable precautions” before finding there was no problem.
