Sledders Asked to Leave the Cemetery
Excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department log.

Wednesday, Feb. 18
At 8:08 a.m., a woman reported her vehicle had been struck and damaged by a town snow removal vehicle.
At 10:18 a.m., the cemetery director arrived at Waterside Cemetery to find two women and a vanful of kids sledding. They were advised to leave as “it is a cemetery and not a playground.”

At 12:09 p.m., police responded to a home for a well-being check called in by a friend. Upon inspection, police located the resident, but found the home to be unsafe. The Board of Health and Town Engineer were consulted and the home was condemned. The resident was referred to North Shore Elder Services.
At 12:10 p.m., a woman called regarding repairs she planned to do on the seawall beneath her property. She relayed that vehicles would possibly be blocking public beach access.

At 1:13 p.m., a burst pipe was reported.
At 5:18 p.m., Anthony Stone, 22, of Marblehead was arrested on a warrant.
At 5:18 p.m., a man came into the temple seeking a priest, but there was no rabbi on the scene. Police contacted Father Stone who suggested the person go to the hospital for service. The man was transported.
At 8:06 p.m., a smashed back windowpane was reported on Laurel Street.
