At 3:36 p.m., a Sparhawk Terrace resident reported a vehicle was running for an hour. Police contacted the car’s owner who shut off the vehicle.
At 9:17 p.m., a Marblehead resident reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from the State Police and said they were soliciting to help families of fallen officers. Marblehead Police contacted State Police, which said there are not soliciting.

Saturday, Dec. 27
At 1:51 p.m., police responded to Brook Road about a report of someone yelling into a microphone “Get in the van.” The children ran home and told their father. Police spoke to girls who were in the van and found it was a “joke and a bad misunderstanding.”

Sunday, Dec. 28
At 12:06 a.m., police placed a 46-year-old Marblehead man into protective custody after a report of an unknown man sleeping in a Washington Street hallway.
At 2:28 p.m, police received a call after laundry was reportedly stolen from a Pleasant Street laundromat. She said she left her laundry in the machine and went to get a coffee. When she came back, the laundry was gone. Police took a report, but the woman went back a few hours later and found the machine was in a different machine.
At 2:45 p.m., police received a report of stolen lobsters on Front Street.
