Stuck Soda Truck and a Stolen Wedding Ring

Wednesday, Feb. 4
At 8:32 a.m., a person came into the station to report her wedding ring stolen. She said she knew who took it, but she didn’t want to press charges.
At 10:15 a.m., a caller reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be with the IRS.

At 12:24 p.m., the Water Department called to let police know that a meter reader stepped on a plastic basement window cover and cracked it. The Water Department wanted the incident on file in case the homeowner called to report a suspected break-in attempt.
At 12:53 p.m., a convenience store clerk reported a Coke truck stuck at the corner of Pleasant and School streets. The truck driver was able to free the vehicle.

At 1:02 p.m., a hit-and-run was reported. The driver who left the scene admitted to the officer than he knew he hit the vehicle and left anyway.
At 3:57 p.m, a caller reported her husband had fallen off a ladder. The patient was transported.
At 7:09 p.m., a caller reported a UPS truck was stuck on Front Street and blocking traffic. The caller said the situation is “getting worse and the DPW should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of care in the road.” The caller also said DPW ignored him when he called.
