Student Attacked, Robbed on Taft

Wednesday, Sept. 12:
- At 8:58 a.m., a resident entered the to report that a jogger was nearly struck at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Gerry Street.
- At 9:01 a.m., a resident entered the police station to see if there was a crossing guard near the intersection of Pleasant Street and Mohawk Avenue after school.
- At 10:07 a.m., police responded to an accidental 911 call from a home on Farrell Court.
- At 11:58 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Village Street.
- At 12:56 p.m., police responded to a report of a low-hanging wire on Tidewinds Terrace.
- At 1:08 p.m., police responded to an accidental 911 from a home on Broughton Road.
- At 1:21 p.m., a motorist in a 2006 Ford Escape was ticketed on Humphrey Street for committing a marked lanes violation.
- At 1:25 p.m., a resident entered the police station to report finding the brass nameplate reading "Rotary Club of Marblehead" on the ground under the barrier at the end of Fader Place earlier in the morning.
- At 2:47 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street.
- At 2:55 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Pleasant Street.
- At 3:01 p.m., police responded to a reported assault on Taft Street. A resident told police that a student walking home had been choked by a man in a black hooded sweatshirt and robbed of his backpack. The victim told police that he ran to his neighbor’s house for help after the assault. The backpack was later found behind a fence on Litchman Terrace.
- At 5:55 p.m., police received an alert from the Swampscott Police Department that they were looking for a turquoise and white pickup truck with a red tailgate that was operating erratically with two unrestrained children.
- At 6:10 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Front Street.
- At 9:37 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
- At 11:22 p.m., police responded to a report of a loud party on Maverick Street.

- At 3:49 a.m., police responded to a report of someone ringing a doorbell on Washington Street.
