Suspect Grabbed Woman's Underwear, Fled on Bike: Rockport Police
Rockport police asking the public's help identifying a suspect who tried to take off a woman's clothes Wednesday.
ROCKPORT, MA — Rockport police are asking the public's help identifying a suspect who assaulted a woman Wednesday night. The suspect, who was captured on security cameras at a local store, attacked a woman from behind on Pooles Lane, according to Rockport Police Chief John Horvath. The suspect then tried to take off her clothes and reached for her underwear, police said, but he was unsuccessful and fled on a bicycle.
The suspect is about 5 feet, 8 inches with dark hair and clean shaven. Prior to the assualt, the suspect was seen in the area of Railroad Avenue near an MBTA parking lot.
