Suspicious Man Near Marblehead School False Alarm: Police
A report about a suspicious man near a Marblehead school turned out to be a false alarm.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead police said a report about a suspicious man talking to students near a Marblehead school Friday was a false alarm.
The man apparently asked students to help him find his lost dog then ran off when a teacher approached, police said. Police then issued a press release to media outlets asking the public's help identifying him.
"The person in question saw the press release on the news and realized that it was he ... we were looking for," police said in a statement. "He called into the station and identified himself. After interviewing him, we are now confident that there was a misunderstanding and there is no further reason to be alarmed."
