The Hurricane Reopening Soon as 'The Barrelman'

The space formerly home to Hurricane Restaurant and Bar in Marblehead will soon reopen as The Barrelman. 

Owner Ben Newman has spent the last few months sprucing up the interior and is now in the process of hiring his staff. 

A sign in the front window suggests the bar and restaurant will reopen sometime this month. 

Over the last eight years, Newman, of Boston, has spent many of his weekends sailing in Marblehead and recently relocated his family to the North Shore.

"I love the area and I'm really excited about adding another great business to what is already a thriving local business community," Newman said in May.

This will be his first shot at running a restaurant.
