Theft Reported on Atlantic Avenue

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department's log:

Monday, Nov. 5:

  • At 8:21 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Smith and Pleasant streets involving a Ford Taurus and a Chevy Traverse.
  • At 9:46 a.m., an employee at Marblehead High School called police to report that an autistic student had become violent and out of control. 
  • At 9:53 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Beacon Street.
  • At 9:58 a.m., an employee at a business on Pleasant Street called police to report that she found a change purse with cash, credit cards and an ID.
  • At 10:25 a.m., a resident entered the police station to complain about a boat parked on Elem Street.
  • At 11:50 a.m., a Westport Lane resident let police know that a fireplace has been having drafting issues.
  • At 12:12 p.m., police received word that a sign on Pleasant Street had been "ripped down as if by a box truck."
  • At 12:44 p.m., police responded to a line down on Beach Street.
  • At 2:00 p.m., police conducted a school investigation.
  • At 2:25 p.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Washington Street.
  • At 3:04 p.m., a Gallison Lane woman called police to complain about a pile of rope and lobster traps that have been in front of her house for three days.
  • At 3:42 p.m., police received word that there were some kids "smoking pot" on rocks near Village Street.
  • At 3:57 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rose Avenue.
  • At 5:20 p.m., a resident entered the police station to report that her car was struck while parked.
  • At 5:51 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on High Street involving a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Jeep Wrangler.
  • At 6:59 p.m., police responded to a disabled motor vehicle on High Street.

  • At 7:45 a.m., police responded to a car alarm on Peach Highlands.
  • At 7:47 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Pleasant Street.
  • At 7:51 a.m., a resident entered the police station with a wallet discovered in the parking lot of Crosby's Marketplace.
  • At 7:57 a.m., police responded to a report of a downed wire on South Street.
  • At 10:39 a.m., police responded to an accidental 911 on Atlantic Avenue.
  • At 11:22 a.m., a Higgins Road woman called police to report that she had been the victim of identity theft.
  • At 11:38 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Pleasant Street involving a Toyota Celica and a Honda Civic.
  • At 11:58 a.m., a resident on Pinecliff Drive called police to report that her second-floor window was broken overnight.
  • At 1:50 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Crowninshield Road.
  • At 1:56 p.m., an Atlantic Avenue business owner called police to report that "the same woman came in again yesterday and stole nail polish." The woman said she had her on surveillance video.
  • At 4:08 p.m., police responded to a report of skateboarders using ramps and a rail system in front of a business on Pleasant Street. The skateboarders were moved along by police.
  • At 4:13 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Washington Street.
  • At 5:03 p.m., police responded to a report of harassment.
  • At 6:24 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Pickwick Road.
  • At 7:02 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on School Street.
  • At 9:02 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm on Washington Street.
