Boot Camp is a challenging and fun group workout that fosters accountability and team camaraderie. You’ll experience variety in each class with cardiovascular, speed, endurance, strength, and power training exercises. Our commitment is to encourage, motivate, coach

Athletic Tabata

This program will focus on full body interactive movements using
the Tabata method to enhance conditioning and overall athletic
performance. The ‘Tabata’ method has established itself as one of
the major tools towards enhancing performance and overall fitness.
It is a measured and ‘scientific’ approach to working out that pushes
the body through its limits in order to reach new highs. Class length

Athletic Stretch & Flexibility

This Program strengthens the body while increasing range of
motion, mobility and flexibility for optimal functionality in order to
help prevent injury. With a fast and effective athletic stretch, core
strengthening and body awareness workout you will unlock muscular
constraint and improve vitality for peak performance in sports or
your weekly workout routine. Class length 45 minutes. Instructor

Skate Zone
Fee: Y Members FREE Community $5
Skateboard, scooters, and rollerblades are all welcome at the new
Skate Zone! Open to skaters of all ages and experience levels;
beginners will get pointers and tips from knowledgeable staff and
experienced skaters, and experienced skaters can work on their tricks
in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Helmets are required,
skaters under 8 must be accompanied by an adult, and all skaters
must have a signed parent waiver available online or at the Y. For

Skateboard Lessons

These lessons are for the individual who is new to the sport. We
will teach you proper foot placement, proper safety procedures, and
how to balance, ollie, turn, push, and ride transition. Skaters need
a board, helmet, elbow and knee pads, and a signed parent waiver
available online or at the Y. Classes are 45 minutes and limited to 5
participants.
Adult Gymnastics
Ages: 18 & up
Fee: Member-$99 Community-$149
Are you looking for a new and exciting way to get in shape?
Do you miss being a cheerleader or gymnast? If so come join our adult
gymnastics class. Each week will include a variety of activities such as basic tumbling,
climbing the rope or bouncing on the trampoline. It’s never been more fun to become fit.

YMCA OF THE NORTH SHORE “SHARKS” SWIM TEAM

Lynch/vanOtterloo swimmers - New Swimmers – registration Wednesday, September 4th and Friday, September 6th at 4:00 p.m.
All new swimmers must swim for group placement. The YMCA of the North Shore “Sharks” is a year-round competitive swimming program that combines the best of YMCA and USA swimming. Our coaching staff is dedicated to building self-confidence while teaching proper stroke technique. All current swimmers will be back for 1 hour practices September 3rd-September 6th. September 9th will start the regular fall/winter program.
All swimmers must have a youth membership of $162.00 a year - $13.50 monthly bank draft or a teen membership of $276.00 a year - $23.00 monthly bank draft.
Swimmers are also bank drafted a monthly fee depending on the color group they are assigned to. Swimmers must also pay a once a year family fee of $100.00 for one swimmer, $150.00 for two or $180.00 for three or more.

Parkinson Wellness Recovery Training – Staying Stronger Together

Researched based exercise specifically for Parkinson’s that is neuroplasticity principled, holds promise to slow disease progression, restore motor function, increase longevity and quality of life. Participants should be able to walk and stand unassisted. Individuals with MS are also encouraged to attend.
