- Last night the Lucy E. brought in Willliam Weed, one of her crew, who had a stroke of paralysis while in his dory under-running his trawls. When found he was unconscious. He was taken to his home and today shows a slight improvement in his condition.
- The Eliza carried a large trip of fish to Boston on Tuesday. The prices ranging from 40 cents to $1 per hundred weight.
- The Alabama is being newly painted.
- The Lila Bell and the Whip will commence to fit out for fishing and excursion parties next week.
- Two Marblehead men, John Wilkes and Edward Cloon, were reported lost from the schooner William V. Hutchins. Capt. Kirby, of Gloucester, made sure that vessel arrived with her colors at half-mast.
Memorial Day Services:The services on Decoration Day will be observed as usual, Comrades of John Goodwin Jr., Post 82, conducting. THe Post will meet at G.A.R. Hall at 12 o'clock sharp and after a short march will escort the orator from his residence to , where the exercise will be held; It is requested that all businesses suspend for the afternoon.
Real Estate Sale: The estate belonging to the heirs of the late Ephrain Brown, bordering on Mugford, Black and Pond streets, including a mansion, carriage house, stable, and three-fourths of an acre of land, was sold at auction Thursday afternoon to James J. H. Gregory for $86,500.

Eastern Railroad Marblehead Branch:
- Trains will leave Marblehead for Salem at 6:40, 7:40, 9 a.m.; 1:10, 3:00, 4:45, 6:00 and 7:20 p.m.
- Trains will leave Salem for Marblehead at 7:10, 9:25 a.m.; 1:10, 3:00, 4:45, 6:00, 7:20 p.m.
