Tickets now on sale for Marblehead Little Theatre's American Idiot

Tickets are now on sale for Marblehead Little Theatre’s upcoming production of Green Day’s Tony Award winning hit musical, American Idiot. The show is being directed by Steve Black and produced by Lori Lord and Susan Parker. Musical direction is by Lianne Goodwin and the choreography by Lara Finn. Assistant director is Janet Neely. Set design and lighting by Tyson Miller. Sound design by Greg Dana and costume design by Elvira Schoenthal. The production is being sponsored by Green’s Ace Hardware.

A critical smash on Broadway and in London, the Marblehead Little Theatre is the first local company to produce the show. American Idiot tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Follow their quest for the true meaning of life in a post 9/11 world. The musical is based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album, American Idiot. Featuring the music of Green Day and the lyrics of its lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, the musical numbers will include “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “21 Guns,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” “Holiday” and the blockbuster title track, “American Idiot”.

The production will run from June 19th through June 28th. Opening night will feature a reception immediately following the show which all audience members are invited to attend.
