Tower School To Offer Both Half-Day and Full-Day Pre-Kindergarten Programs, Beginning Fall of 2015

Tower’s Pre-Kindergarten program is based on the understanding that 4- and 5-year-olds learn best through hands-on experiences that offer excitement, discovery and success. Tower’s program includes skills of early literacy; language development; social interaction; mathematics; physical education; creative self-expression through music, performing arts, and visual arts; science and technology.

The full-day program runs Monday through Friday, from 7:55 am until 3:00 pm. The optional half-day program will offer dismissal at 12:30 pm. Tower’s Head of Lower School, Deborah Strainge adds, “Offering a half-day Pre-Kindergarten program for children honors the fact that developmental readiness for school varies greatly among young children. Some of our youngest students may benefit from time in order to build the stamina necessary to fully participate in all aspects of a full day.”

The optional half-day program provides opportunities throughout the year to transition to a full day program, honoring the rapid growth that is a hallmark of the early childhood years.
