Two Arrested for Breaking and Entering on Beacon Street
Citizen's tip to the police leads to the arrest of a New Hampshire man and woman.

A New Hampshire man and woman were arrested on Tuesday afternoon on breaking and entering charges in Marblehead, thanks in part to a tip from an alert citizen.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police got a call from a resident in the Brook Road area who reported that a woman came to the house. The woman who came to the house said her dog was lost and to call the police if it was found, according to police.
The resident thought this was odd, especially since the car had out-of-state license plates, and phoned police to report it. The resident provided a description of the woman and a male companion and their vehicle, including the license plate number. Officers were dispatched into the area to investigate, but with no success, according to the Marblehead police.

Shortly before 2 p.m., officers responded to a burglar alarm at a home on the upper end of Beacon Street. As patrols were heading to the house, they saw the vehicle from the earlier call leaving the area. While one officer continued to the scene, the other officer turned around to try to catch up with the vehicle but lost sight of it.
As officers checked the Beacon Street house, they found a window air conditioner had been pushed out of the window, so presumably someone could climb into the house, according to police. While investigating, a witness came forward and shared that earlier in the day, a woman was seen taking pictures of the house and that she had left in a car matching the description of the vehicle police were looking for.
